Stop Arguing. Start Listening

📝 Show Notes
How do we find common ground when America feels so divided?
John Izzo shares a story: a friend went into a conversation with someone whose political views were the complete opposite of his own. His original goal was to change the other person’s mind. But then he realized—if I’m not open to being changed myself, what right do I have to try to change someone else?

This short invites us to flip the script: instead of trying to prove how right we are, we should ask: Am I as willing to be changed as I am to change? Only then can we have genuine dialogue and a chance at common ground.

📌 Short Summary of the Clip

John Izzo explains that the key to real conversations across divides is a willingness to be changed ourselves. If we enter dialogue only to convince others, we miss the chance for true listening and common ground
